Hands-On Activities for Children

Bring the kids for hours of FREE hands-on activities!  All crafts and activities are related to Lewis and Clark experience.

Dreams of Eagles:  Create dream catchers, bead and feather hair clips, chokers

Omaha Children’s Museum:  Make a journal like Lewis and Clark

Joslyn Art Museum:  Make and decorate a Native American par fleche

Washington County 4-H:  Create corn husk dolls, stars and constellation activity

Douglas County Extension Service:  Learn about the snakes of Nebraska

Omaha Theatre Company for Young People:  Be in a play! Each hour YOU can be part of the Corps of Discovery in this interactive dramatic activity.

Omaha Public Library:  Make and decorate a Native American war shield and meet Scamper the OPL mascot.

Mid America Council Boy Scouts of America:  Take part in a variety of activities including rope making, Indian dice and headbands.
